In 2014, fledgling network FXX put itself on the map by airing every episode of The Simpsons back-to-back, the longest TV marathon in history.
Getting people excited about a 12-day, 552-episode Simpsons marathon was easy. Keeping people excited the entire time? Challenging. But our Agency Story did it, and FXX earned its highest ratings ever and a place in the Guinness book of world records.
And in 2016 FXX asked Story to do it again, this time for an epic 600-episode run of every Simpsons ever. Our answer: Okily dokily!
We created a social epicenter of marathon-specific content, blending prescheduled posts with real-time fan interaction and fun surprises such as on-air Snapcodes to unlock exclusive marathon Snapchat filters.
Then we tirelessly live-tweeted the marathon—all 300 hours of it—breaking our 2014 record and giving FXX a massive ratings boost once again.
